Smartaupairs Au Pair Picnic

Our August au pair picnic attracted a fantastic group of au pairs and we had a great time chatting and eating different foods from different countries :)

Au Pair London Bike Tour

A few weeks ago, also a bike tour took place, whereby Mariele and Anna from our au pair support, met up with a lovely group of au pairs both from Smartaupairs and Rainbow Au Pairs. 😊

After a short introduction - everyone showed up surprisingly early – we met Charles, our tour guide. He got us started right away (bikes, helmets – check!) after he had answered our most important questions:

“How fast are we going to go?” and “Is this tour for old people as well?” Reasonable questions if you are close to your twenties and planning on retiring in the next few years.

Off we went with Charles who seemed to be particularly interested in giving us some insights about how the British government works and how most of the parliament’s decisions seem to be – let me quote this - “going down the pub”. Another interesting thing that we learnt about the Royal Family when we got to see Buckingham Palace, was that the Queen does not only speak five different languages but that she is also the first monarch acting as a financial genius since she managed to successfully put her money into a tax haven. :-D

We finished our sunny tour at the London Eye and went to the cosy Horse & Stables pub afterwards where some of us enjoyed a typical Sunday roast while others (Mariele and Anna) went straight for dessert (“Now that we’ve done some sports, we deserve this!!!”).

All in all, we had a super fun time and can’t wait to see you guys at our next upcoming event! 😊
