Hi Tuuli, I just wanted to tell you that I am back in Germany again. I also wanted to thank you for everything you have done this year because it was amazing. Kind regards, Karolin Roese

I would like to thank you for all the amazing support from the whole team! It's really been a great experience, which you have made possible in the first place. So a huge thank you for all you have done! I wish you all the best and hope you all stay safe and healthy!

As sad as it was to leave nearly four month prior to my planned departure date I was super glad to spend an amazing year in London with my host family - making great memories and meeting incredible people! I always felt very well looked after by you and your team - thanks for everything! :)
- Annika, Au Pair from Germany
I want to thank you so much for your continuous support during the time I've had as an au pair - especially during lockdown, I really appreciated it. At least until this pandemic began it's been tons of fun and the rest of it gave me a lot of big life lessons (and obviously I still had pretty good times with my host family in quarantine, otherwise I wouldn't have stayed this long, haha). So all in all, it's been a great experience.
- Emelie, Au Pair from Germany
I just wanted to thank you all again for your amazing help. It is such a relief to know that I can always ask questions and know that someone will help me if there are any problems. Especially during that time, that was amazing to know!

Au pairing is an invaluable prospect! Both young people who dream of going abroad and families looking for help with the childcare benefit from taking the chance of a cultural exchange like the au pair program. There are hundreds of thousands new experiences of immense value for the future that the children, the parents and the au pairs are able to gain together. At the moment, I am an au pair too. Going on the big journey to England to live and work with my wonderful host family has been the best decision I´ve ever made. I am spending the most amazing and memorable time of my life with them - The memories are never to be forgotten! I count myself very lucky and feel like the happiest person that I`ve been given the opportunity to find a new home, a second family as well as some of the best friends I can imagine during my year as an au pair in London

Choosing Smartaupairs as my placement agency has been the best decission I could have made! I’ve been living in Kingston upon Thames for almost five months now and to be honest, I didn’t expect it to be such a great experience. Not only do you get a unique insight into the amazing British culture, but also you get the chance to take responsibility and in particular work independently with children. Therefore I really think that the last few months have had a positive impact on my personal growth and skills. During this journey Smartaupairs has definitely been of great help. It took me less then a month from sending my application to the agency to flying over to London which exemplifies how fast the process is handled. The assistants repeatedly reach out via email to make sure you are still happy with your placement and also offer you a variety of ways for socializing in your area, constantly being interested in making your stay as enjoyable as possible. Given that I wasn’t even charged a fee, I was positively surprised about how excellent the support was and would definitely recommend Smartaupairs to anybody who wants to make his way as an Au pair abroad!

So far I have to say that I did not regret to go to England as an au pair for one minute. My host family did everything they could to make me feel welcomed and they care a lot about my needs and wishes. I haven't been thrown in at the deep end but my host parents integrate me and always try to be there for me. Thanks to my predecessor I got in contact with au pairs living nearby very fast. Kings Hill is very different from any other place I've been before and although England is not far away from home my life here is completely different. I am very glad that I got the chance to make this experience

I live in Redhill (Surrey) now for one month and I really like it here ! The area is surrounded by beautiful parks, where you can play always with your hostchildren and you can easily take the train to London, which will take 20min. My hostfamily helped me a lot to settle in and I already feel that I am a part of the family. My hostkids are lovely boys. You learn every day something new as an Au pair! First of all you improve your English just by talking it all the time and then you learn to be very patient with the children and how to handle difficult situations. I take part in a language course at a local College twice a week. I've met some of my friends there. Most of them are local Au pairs, too. Furthermore I would suggest every Au pair to check Facebook to find local Au pair groups. You can just join them and take part at their weekly meeting :) I am really happy that I have made the decision to become an Au pair and very lucky to have such a friendly hostfamily !

I am in England since the end of August and I really love England! But I had to change the host family and it was not so easy to deal with that kind of experience. Nevertheless, I had great support from the smartaupairs team and they took my problem serious. They sent me new family applications very soon and I found the perfect family for me! My new family is very nice and I have a very good relationship with my host mum and a good one with the kids :) It is amazing how quick you improve your English skills while being abroad. I am really looking forward to the next months!
