ESOL and EFL English language courses for au pairs.

At the moment, we are waiting to hear from officials in Adult Education what English language classes are likely to be available from September 2007 and how much they will cost.

Many au pairs have enjoyed free English classes, ESOL during the past few years. However, funding has been reduced and the free classes may be far more restricted in future.

This is how we understand it at the moment.

In Kent, early indications are that there may still be some free ESOL classes available but the criteria for getting free tuition are not totally final yet.

In some Adult Education centres there may be the option to do ESOL or EFL. The EFL is likely to be slightly more expensive but it gives the popular ‘Cambridge Certificate’.
