Free registration process
Independent registration for au pairs is FREE and we offer full UK support and our popular bonus starter-pack full of handy benefits. However, recommend all au pairs to consider a local agency in their own country, especially if they need any help with the registration. Agencies charge locally and offer good value support and service.

If you do not need any help, you can still register for FREE and make your own preparations. However, we know from experience that a well presented profile and a prepared candidate finds a nice family that much quicker!
Our popular BONUS
HSBC £10 in the bank
If you open a passport bank account with HSBC, smartaupairs will put your first £10 in as a welcome.
All you have to do to claim is e-mail us your sort code and account number and the money will go into your account automatically. You can apply online before you arrive in Britain, it is quicker that way as you can prepare your documentation in advance.
There are 2 types of bank accounts that HSBC recommend for au pairs,
Basic account – totally free but limited service package, use of selected UK cash machines
Passport account – specialised for the needs of people who move to the UK like yourself, the account offers an International Debit card, global access to your cash and much more.
The cost of this account is normally £50 to set up, but with our £10 in your account, this makes it only £40.
O2 mobile phones
Starter pack – your first UK sim card giving you an instant UK number and posibility to call in the UK and Europe on activation.
This package is handy as the UK sim is ready to be activated upon arrival in your host family so no need to go out to the shop. Your pack will be posted to your host family in your name.
Membership to aupair2aupair
Smartaupairs is delighted to offer free membership to aupair2aupair.com.
Membership is exclusive to BAPAA au pair agencies and it gives access to a network through which to make local au pair friends.
It is a unique private network where au pairs from recognised au pair agencies can make contact with other local au pairs in a safe, member-only, on-line environment, knowing that no ‘outsiders’ can register and misuse the network.
We represent au pair candidates from EEA only.
Our bonus may change from time to time without prior notice. There is no cash alternative.
Additional administration.
Au pairs who require any administration from Smartaupairs will be charged a minimum fee of £30. Documents sent to us remain our property. Any documentation to be returned will be charged at the above minimum plus postage.
