Au Pair in Australia

Looking to escape the often so bleak and rainy British weather?

Even the winters in Australia are quite mild compared to a European winter. So no matter what the season, there will be plenty of opportunity to leave the house and enjoy the outdoors. Australians love being around the water, so ensure you pack your swim wear and enjoy many of the local pools and clean white beaches.

Australians have a reputation for being welcoming, friendly people. The Australian culture has a strong social focus – so there will be opportunities to expand your social circle beyond just your host family. Join a team sport or social club and enjoy the famous Australian hospitality.

Australians love to travel and explore and it is likely your host family will want to show you the tourist hotspots in their area. Throughout Australia there are many camp sites and visitor centres, so going on day trips and exploring your host state is easy to organise – and a great idea to do with fellow au pairs on a weekend or during some time off.

We organize lots of fun trips for au pairs! Some au pairs in Australia are lucky enough to also accompany their host family on holidays around the country or internationally, so will have the opportunity to see even more of Australia and possibly even other countries too!

As Smartaupairs we have our own offices both in Australia and the UK - you get the benefit of Smart Au Pairs support before and during your placement – we will guide you regarding your travel and visa arrangements, help you find friends, provide you access to lots of au pair events & support you in case of an issue!

We have been helping au pairs for many years and both our UK and Australia offices have been internationally recognized and award winning!

Au pair @ninavriend :365 days, 1 working holiday visa, 3 countries, 3 host families, 8 amazing kids, a lot of different cities, a lot of new friends and a lot of new memories. This year went way too fast! Being an au pair wasn't always easy, sometimes things didn't go as planned, sometimes things turned out better than expected. It's hard to leave the kids behind, they have made this year so special for me and I sure do love all of them! They have a special place in my heart and I just hope that their next au pair will be as mazing as me😏! Australia is a beautiful country, and I'm so happy I got to travel and see a lot of places, I haven't seen everything yet, so Australia: it's not a goodbye, it's a see you later❤! #aupairlife #travelling #smartaupairsaustralia #Australia
